Kindred Quilts is located in the quintessential town of Clinton, New Jersey - a prerevolutionary town that has managed to maintain its charm in spite of development.




Kindred Quilts started out on Main Street and has since moved to East Main Street where we procured our own parking - equivalent to gold in this town - and so much better for machine-lugging students!
We reside in a former two-family house. We certainly aren't the biggest shop in town but we are packed full of fabrics, wools, embroidery, punchneedle and needle felting. And we have so much fun it should be illegal!





We are passionate about what we do. Our staff is talented and commited. You will love them. You will never feel rushed, no questions are stupid. We want you to come and stay a while. Sorry, I'm beginning to run on but I think you get the point. You are important and that's that.





I have been told in no uncertain terms that I left out one very important aspect of the shop. Cody.
He was found injured and abandoned on the side of the road in Kentucky - his left back leg dangling and a gash on his belly.
Due to the compassion of animal rescuers, Cody was picked up and put into the animal rescue network. He was hospitalized in Chapel Hill, NC where they removed his leg. Shortly after, he was put in the back of truck with 60 other adoptable dogs and shipped up to New Jersey where they were met by their foster parents from rogersrescues.com.
We had recently lost our big, hairy and genteel Sage and the shop seemed empty.
